Oceanpro Boats are built by Pauanui Marine & Engineering Ltd, owned and operated by founder and engineer Mike Bush. Mike studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Auckland before beginning his career as a designer for New Zealand’s leading manufacturer of RIB Coastguard vessels.
His expertise later took him to the United States, where he became Head Designer and Manufacturing Manager for a specialist boatbuilder producing superyacht tenders, military craft and commercial workboats. During this time, he delivered projects for clients including the US Coast Guard, Department of Justice, Police agencies and Oracle Team USA.
Driven by a long‑held ambition to build his own boats, Mike returned home to New Zealand and established Oceanpro. Today, he applies his extensive international experience to designing and manufacturing high‑performance aluminium pontoon boats built specifically for New Zealand conditions. Every Oceanpro is engineered for strength, stability and real‑world capability—whether for offshore fishing, family boating or commercial use.
